We don’t always know, but it’s becoming clear… Song 223

Today’s song features an old friend of mine on the lead guitar. Shawn Thorpe and I were in a band together back in the day. He lives in California now while I’m still here in Illinois. I asked if he wanted to contribute some guitar to a song or two for my project and he accepted. The result was pretty good if I do say so myself! Give it a listen! Song 223: “The Wind”

http://mattsams.bandcamp.com/track/the-wind

I kinda want to tell you how I want to care
The words may not ring true if you’re unaware
I’ve been climbing mountains while sleeping in the dirt
I should have known, but you should have known too
We’ve been running trials, laughing every night
Unexpected wars, we refuse to fight
Underneath the files, we know the story here
We don’t always know, but it’s becoming clear
I kinda have to let you tell me what you wanted
I should have tried to stop you before you flaunted
You can’t lord it over me, I am not your trust disease
I should have cared, but you should have cared too
We’ve been running trials, laughing every night
Unexpected wars, we refuse to fight
Underneath the files, we know the story here
We don’t always know, but it’s becoming clear
I don’t care if you don’t care if
We ever care about the winds
We’ve been running trials, laughing every night
Unexpected wars, we refuse to fight
Underneath the files, we know the story here
We don’t always know, but it’s becoming clear
