Like the times they told me, I’m nothing but a fool… Song 25

Dreams, both the sounds and images you experience while sleeping and the nebulous aspirations, are important to pay attention to. When you examine what your mind is doing and what you think you may want, pieces come into focus. What do you want? How bad do you want it? What will you do when you get it? What will you do if you never get it? Get it? At what point do you give up? Do you ever give up? Can you keep fighting?

Today’s song was actually composed on bass. The rest was built around the bass riffs I came up with. The harmonics of droning strings will never get old to me. There’s something almost mystical hidden in the sound. Something that is more often felt than heard. Check out today’s song:

Song 25: “I Can Keep Fighting”

My thoughts fade away with the sun, I float back in time
I dream of flying

Like the times you kissed me in the fading moonlight
I remember why it felt so right, I can’t wake up from this dream

My dreams fade in the morning light, I start another day
I can keep fighting

Like the times they told me, I’m nothing but a fool
I remember what is true, I won’t give up this dream

I am still a soul, I am still alive
I will never run, I will never hide
Nothing they can say can tear me away from this

Like the times you kissed me in the fading moonlight
I remember why it felt so right, I can’t wake up from this dream

Like the times they told me, I’m nothing but a fool
I remember what is true, I won’t give up this dream

My thoughts fade away with the sun, I float back in time
I can keep fighting
