I shake it down like a thief, stealing all my memories… Song 61

Two months down, 10 to go. I think I may be getting the hang of this songwriting thing. It’s almost as if I’ve done it before. Beginner’s luck? Eh, anyhoo. Today’s song is a straight up rocker. I love the beef of it. Here’s to the month that comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. March:

March

Song 61: “Like A Lion”

I tear down who I am, every day I’m alive
I break down, then I burst in

Like a lion drags down it’s prey, I tear it all to pieces with these teeth

I shake it down like a thief, stealing all my memories
I break down, then I burst in

Like a lion drags down it’s prey, I tear it all to pieces with these teeth

I let the pieces fall where they may, I ignore my face in the mirror
I break down, then I burst in

Like a lion drags down it’s prey, I tear it all to pieces with these teeth

I run aground, turn around, burning down what I found
I run aground, turn around, burning down what I found clear

Like a lion drags down it’s prey, I tear it all to pieces with these teeth
