What you’re begging to be true, may not be up to you… Song 78

Who doesn’t have things they wish they could take back? Even though the past is unchangeable, there’s a different way to take it back. Learn from your past and take back your agency. Grow up, move on, go forward. The past has brought you where you are, but it’s up to you where you go from here.

Today’s song coalesced quickly, but it took a long time to get everything recorded. On days like this, I feel like I just ran a mental marathon. It’s good brain exercise, but man is it draining! But, here’s the song…

Song 78: “Take It Back”

We tell it like we want to see it, but that’s not how it is
What you’re begging to be true, may not be up to you
Don’t you ever want to take it backWhen you want to cry, take it back now
When you feel like dying, take it back now

I wonder where I go wrong, I wonder why I try
I wonder if this universe wants to watch me die
Would I take it back if I had the chance

When you wonder why, take it back now
When you don’t want to try, take it back now

I turn my back on the sun, I become no one

When you want to cry, take it back now
When you feel like dying, take it back now
When you wonder why, take it back now
When you don’t want to try, take it back now

We wonder what our life could be
If we take it back
