No one’s sure how I find the time… Song 80

Every day is some other day’s yesterday. We’re already living in the future and the past at the same time. Blown minds, right? Eh, or not. I guess it depends on how far down that rabbit hole you wanna go. Time is a circle.

Today’s song started out with a lot more instrumentation, but I decided in the end to go for a more stripped down and spacy sound. I even resisted the urge to do the guitar solo with my electric guitar. I like the way it turned out, even though I wasn’t happy with the results about half-way through the process. All’s well that ends well I suppose. Here’s to 80 songs!

Song 80: “Tomorrow’s Yesterday”

Lessons torn away, tomorrow’s yesterday
Faking understanding what they say
Another bitter fruit, withers on the vine
Checking in or checking out on life

The faces fade away with this lullabye
All traces are erased from yesterday

I fear it all could change, tomorrow’s yesterday
Making fires no one tries to douse
Another follows suit, making up a name
No one’s sure how I find the time

The faces fade away with this lullabye
All traces are erased from yesterday

The faces fade away with this lullabye
All traces are erased from yesterday
