Colors change like my dreams… Song 242

August is coming to a close, and so is summer. I, for one, cannot wait for fall. The colors, the smells, the football! Oh yeah, and no more 90 degree days with 100% humidity. This summer felt like I’ve been living in a rain forest.

I’ve always loved fall the most. When I was a kid, it meant new shoes, new things to learn, and leaves to jump in. Now that I’m an adult, it means I can walk outside without bursting into flames or dehydrating instantly. Thank god for air conditioners… but I’m even more thankful for the change of the season. I’m ready for it now, but I know it’s not here yet.

I know most people see fall as the season where everything dies. But I always see it as the start of my new year. A time of celebration of everything and everyone in my life. It’s my spring.

Song 242: “Autumn Spring”

Summertime is coming to an end
I can’t wait for the leaves to fall
And let the cool winds blow

The sun goes down
Nights grow longer
The world seems quiet to me
I can’t wait for the snow

Colors change like my dreams
Yellows, reds and brown
My heart floating, I feel so free
I don’t want to come down

I always feel like a child again
I see through fresh eyes
Everyone laughing, everyone happy
Rolling in the leaves
In an autumn spring

Come take my hand and we’ll go for a stroll
Let’s play in this brand new world
I don’t believe in will ever end
While I feel this way

I always feel like a child again
I see through fresh eyes
Everyone laughing, everyone happy
Rolling in the leaves
In an autumn spring

I always feel like a child again
Everyone laughing, everyone happy
Rolling in the leaves
In an autumn spring
