I’ve been known to play a trick or two… Song 296

Today’s song is short and/or sweet. It all came together really quickly. My computer was cooperating and the energy just flowed. I really like days like this. This song sounds a lot different without the synths, but I kept them in because I really like the overtones they produce along with the guitar parts. This is sort of a synth-pop-rock song. It turned out nicely!

Song 296: “I Thought I Was”

Does anybody know why, all these feelings go by
The wayside of my life

I’ve been known to play a trick or two
But I trick my heart when I’m with you

Can anybody tell me who I thought I was
When I was standing tall

I’ve been known to play a trick or two
But I trick my heart when I’m with you

Dancing waves, falling down
But I had all my pieces right

Can anybody tell me
Can anybody tell me
Who I thought I was
Who I thought I was
