I feel warm next to you… Song 356

Well, winter has officially begun. Today is the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. On the bright side, the days will get longer from now on and (hopefully) get warmer. The sun will come back, if we let it. I was unusually under the weather the last two days, so I didn’t write a blog post for my previous two songs. I also didn’t feel up to singing or playing guitar, so those songs are instrumentals. I feel much better today though, so I went all out. Lots of nice overtones in this song. I really like how it turned out. Almost soft psychedelic and spacy, but still romantic and accessible. I like when it all works out nicely.

Song 356: “Next To You”

Winter is here, but we don’t have to be cold here inside
That wind may be blowing and the sun is hiding on this long night
But I’m warm here with you

The sun will come back if we let it
And I’ll never let you go if you let me
Stay warm here with you

The snow keeps falling, but we don’t have to go out in the cold
Wrapped up in my arms, stay here forever with me
An you’ll be safe next to me

The sun will come back if we let it
And I’ll never let you go if you let me
Stay warm here with you

The sun will come back if we let it
And I’ll never let you go if you let me
Stay warm here with you

I feel warm next to you
I feel warm next to you
